We are a small but mighty preloved shop based in Penrith, Cumbria.
Working on behalf of our sellers, we carefully select and sell fabulous, quality preloved pieces that are made to be worn and loved in everyday life. Our focus is on well-made clothing, great brands and timeless style.
You won’t find fast fashion or one-off event wear here. Instead, we look for pieces that deserve a second life. Clothes that can be reworn, restyled and loved again and again.
We care about quality, attention to detail and creating a beautiful shop experience for both our customers and our sellers.
SHOP & OPERATIONS ASSISTANT
Wednesday–Saturday
(Alternatively two part-time roles splitting these days)
We are looking for a reliable, organised and style-focused team member to help run our preloved shop.
This role is ideal for someone who loves fashion, has a great eye for quality and detail, and enjoys working in a creative retail environment. You will play an important role in the day-to-day running of the shop, helping customers, preparing new items for sale and ensuring the space looks its best.
You will also help with the operational side of the business including product intake, pricing research and working with our team behind the scenes.
Key Responsibilities
Shop Floor
• Welcome and assist customers
• Provide styling advice where needed
• Operate the till and handle payments
• Answer phone enquiries
• Ensure the shop floor always looks organised and visually appealing
Product Intake & Pricing
• Check in new items from sellers
• Research pricing and brand value
• Ensure accurate item descriptions and pricing
• Maintain high standards for quality and presentation
Preparing New Stock
• Steam / iron items ready for sale
• Clean bags, shoes and accessories where needed
• Tag and price items accurately
• Photograph items when required
Operations & Organisation
• Help oversee the smooth running of the shop
• Work closely with other team members
• Organise stock and back-of-house areas
• Respond to emails and messages when required
• Assist with onboarding new sellers
Skills & Experience
We are looking for someone who is:
• Passionate about fashion and preloved style
• Knowledgeable about brands and quality
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Comfortable using technology, computers and spreadsheets
• Friendly, confident and professional with customers
• Able to work independently and take initiative
Bonus Skills (Not Essential)
• Interest in content creation and social media
• Comfortable appearing on camera for shop content
• Experience with photography or product listing
